Bowen’s Disease of the Anal Canal Treated with Radiation Therapy: A Case Report

Abstract: Bowen’s disease, also known as intraepithelial neoplasia, is a very slow-growing carcinoma in situ. It can progress to an invasive squamous cell cancer and infiltrate mucosa or skin in 3 to 5% of cases. The anal localization of this disease is very rare. Surgical resection is the standard of treatment. Radiotherapy keeps its place in recurrent or unresectable cases.
