Agile test framework for business-to-business interoperability

Business-to-business (B2B) applications are tested routinely for conformance and interoperability against a set of data exchange standards before deployment. However, the existence of many data exchange standards, planned utilizations, deployment environments, and testing scenarios makes it difficult to develop reusable testing tools. To address this challenge, we propose the Agile Test Framework (ATF), which consists of a test case design and test execution model. Test case is defined at two levels: abstract and executable. The abstract level addresses issues related to human understanding and the executable level addresses issues related to machine processing. The test execution model addresses issues related to both reusability and plug-compatibility. The ATF allows the test engineer to generate test cases for a variety of standards and scenarios. Thus, it increases reusability, extensibility, and efficiency compared to other test frameworks.

Cloud simulation system improves the ability of current networkbased M&S in on-demand simulation and massive-user service. The share of multi-granularity resources and dynamic establishment of simulation services in Cloud Simulation raise new challenges to the Simulation Service Description Framework (SSDF). An ontology-based layered SSDF (OLSSDF) was proposed towards those challenges in cloud simulation, which includes the layered architecture of cloud simulation service and the ontology semantics of each layer in the framework which were defined and formalized in OWL-S. The OLSSDF for cloud simulation was applied and in the description of simulation services in certain cloud simulation system prototype of aero plane. The primary research and application show that the OLSSDF oriented to cloud simulation, which describes cloud simulation services in both attribute-semantic and modelsemantic, adapts well to the various multi-granularity simulation resources and facilitates the intelligent discovery and automatic combination of simulation services in the cloud simulation mode.

Web Service involves many participants including service developers, providers, UDDI, and clients, and provides a kind of distributed architecture model. Different participants of the web service own different resource related to the service, so, the test method they use will be also different. From the perspective of service users, the paper proposes a service test model. The model is mainly consist of three sub-models including the user requirements model, the WSDL model, and the generation model of the test cases. Users can make a function test by using the model only with the WSDL document. According to the test model, a prototype tool is implemented. In the last, an example is given to simulate the process of service test and validate the feasibility of the model.
