Several reports focused on different aspects of the biology of the former based on specimens from the estuary (Emig & Vargas, 1990;Lecuyer et al, 1996;Vargas, 1996;Kowalewski et al, 1997;Dittman & Vargas, 2001;Rodland et al, 2003;Vargas et al, 2016).
