Abstract:We present transition probabilities for 268 spectral lines of singly ionized chromium (Cr ii) in the wavelength region 208–414 nm. Branching fractions were measured in archival Fourier transform spectra of chromium-argon and chromium-neon hollow cathode lamps and a Penning discharge source. The branching fractions were combined with previously published experimental lifetimes of 14 levels, and with lifetimes from semiempirical calculations for 14 levels to give transition probabilities. The estimated uncertain… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
