Breast Implant–Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma

Abstract: Breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma is a rare cancer in patients with breast implants but is increasing in incidence. It is important for all physicians involved in the care of patients with breast implants to be aware of this entity and be able to recognize initial symptoms.

“…On the one hand, probable infectious or non-infectious antigens could be exogenously incorporated (such as exogenous pigment of a tattoo), and on the other hand de novo tumor antigens could arise within the framework of a malignant process (Tchernev et al, 2014;Tchernev et al, 2018;Tchernev & Wollina, 2013). Reactive lymphadenopathy, not typical for sarcoidosis of the lymph node; 40, HE staining.…”

“…By definition, it is believed that as a result of MM, a valid cross-activation of human B and/or T cells is generated, and in this respect, the cases of breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphomas are of Within the lymph node is a collection of epitheloid cells/macrophages. In these cases, the probability is that chronic infections and/or implant toxins are likely to result in malignant transformation of T cells that are anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) negative and CD30 positive (Fitzal et al, 2019;Leberfinger et al, 2017).
