Abstract:Two species of potato cyst nematodes (PCNs), Globodera rostochiensis (Woll.) and Globodera pallida (Stone), threaten potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) production worldwide. PCNs are remarkably persistent in soil and can reduce potato yield significantly. The most sustainable approach to PCN control is deploying resistant cultivars.
