Bridging the Gap Between Humanities and Health Sciences – Practices and Recommendations

Abstract:The article discusses two main points: first, the importanceof teaching humanities in health sciences, and second, localpractices, gaps, and recommendations. The Pakistan HigherEducation Commission initiative to introduce the foundationalcourses in undergraduate programs seems promising to promoteacquisition of core foundational knowledge based on thehumanistic principles that transform health students to developcapabilities and assisting them to become agents for change.
