Abstract:A case of end stage pulmonary destruction secondary to adult onset broncho-oesophageal fistula of infectious aetiology is presented. Advanced bronchiectatic damage to the pulmonary parenchyma may be avoided by the maintenance of a high index of suspicion and a systematic approach to the diagnosis of recurrent lower respiratory tract infections.
