Abstract

The beauty of the face can be defined as a unique balance and harmony of facial structures, including eyes, eyebrows, cheeks, nose, lips, and chins. Regardless of its importance in visual perception, the eyes are one of the most prominent features of the face, so poems have been written about its beauty and charm. The precise definition of beautiful eyes is very intuitive across generations, races, and genders, but some common features have spanned these differences by various degrees. 1 Symmetry, a well-defined superior palpebral fold, an adequate degree of upper eyelid concavity, a superiorly oriented medial to lateral intercanthal axis, perpendicular eyelashes, and a lower lid posture at the level of the inferior limbus appear to be common features for beautiful eyes. 1 Periorbital rejuvenation consists of aesthetic procedures not only for the eyes but also for periorbital soft tissues and eyebrows.
