The article discusses the tasks of primary processing of video information for binocular machine vision systems based on artificial compound eyes.The assessment of the necessary computing resources for processing the stream of video information in real time is carried out.A variant of implementing a device based on a programmable logic integrated circuit and algorithms for processing information in such a device is proposed.Based on the results of the device layout and the experimental data obtained, the tasks of developing algorithms for determining the boundaries of moving objects are set.
