Building a Self-Reliant Economy and Its Great Vitality: The Case of DPRK

Abstract:As the world people know, Korea is the homeland of the Juche idea which is a great man-centred philosophical thought. The Juche idea initiated by President Kim Il Sung is a thought that man is the master of everything and decides everything, that is, a thought that man is the master of his own destiny and has the power to carve out his own destiny. By applying the fundamental principle of the Juche idea in the sector of economic construction, the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) put forth the line of building a self-reliant economy and has wisely led the struggle for the its implementation. By advancing the great line of building an independent national economy for the first time in history and guiding its implementation wisely, the WPK set up a world-famous pattern of building a socialist economy and a model of self-reliance.
