Building Burma: Constructing Rangoon's Urban Influence on Citizenship and Nationhood

Abstract: While Burma has often been discussed at the margins of South and Southeast Asian historiography, contemporary scholarship has begun to construct Burma as central to wider regional and inter‐Asian histories.
