Taking into consideration that information technologies were historically one of the pioneer areas adopting open innovation, as well as the recent development boost in sectors such as telehealth, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and wearable technologies, it is very likely that in the future, there will be an increasing application of open innovation strategies in areas such as digital therapeutics and digital health technologies.…”
