Burner based thermal management approach utilizing in-exhaust burner technology with a CDA equipped engine

Abstract: Commercial vehicles require fast aftertreatment heat-up to move the SCR catalyst into the most efficient temperature range to meet upcoming NOX regulations while minimizing CO2.
