C-reactive protein: issues of laboratory diagnostics

Abstract: C-reactive protein (CRP) is a protein of the acute phase of the inflammatory process that is a more sensitive marker of the inflammatory process than the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). Its concentration instantly increases during the first hours of the development of the pathological process in the body, which is accompanied by cell decay and tissue necrosis.
