The thermal stability of the fullerites C 60 , C 70 and alloy C 60/70 has been investigated by the X ray structural analysis after annealing in CO. It has been established the critical temperature stability of the mol ecule structure (the fullerenes) by the ultraviolet spectroscopy at the similar conditions. It has been shown that destruction of the fullerenes/fullerites take place in narrow range and depends on the type of the fullerenes. The fullerene C 70 is higher stability than that of C 60 . The initial decomposition temperature of the mixture C 60/70 , obtained extraction from toluene solution, is lower than that of C 60 and C 70 . It has been estab lished that the critical decomposition temperature of the fullerenes/fullerites is depends on the presence of impurities (oxygen and solvent). It has been shown that crystallization of the fullerenes from gaseous phase is the most advantageous method of cleaning.
