Calculation and evaluation of load performance of magnetic levitation system in medium-low speed maglev train

Abstract: The medium-low speed maglev train is an entirely new way of transportation without wheels, and it makes the best of the attraction between the electromagnet and the F-type track to achieve levitation. The magnetic levitation system is considered as the wheels of medium-low speed maglev train, which plays a major role in bearing the weight of vehicle. The theoretical calculation and finite element numerical analysis are performed to calculate the load performance of the magnetic levitation system under differen… Show more

“…While electromagnetic suspension finds its most prominent application in Maglev trains, electrodynamic suspension is widely used in magnetic bearings for rotational machinery. These forms of levitation technology offer enhanced performance, increased efficiency, and improved reliability compared to conventional mechanical systems, driving innovation and shaping the future of transportation and industrial applications [21].…”

“…The advantages of low operating costs, strong climbing ability and small turning radius compared with high‐speed magnetic levitation [2]. Compared with subway and light rail, it has the advantages of safety and environmental protection, low noise, high speed and low construction cost [3]. It is suitable for intercity traffic linkage and can effectively relieve the traffic pressure in cities without affecting the environment.…”
