Abstract:The safety of a passing train depends on different factors, of which one of the most important is the behavior of the foundation. Therefore, the effects of the non-linearity of ballast on the dynamic responses of the railway track are a key research interest. In this paper, a new model of railway sleepers posed on a nonlinear foundation has been developed. By coupling the finite element method (FEM) of the sleeper with an analytical model of the periodically supported beam model, the dynamic equation of the sl… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
