Abstract:Phase conductors of overhead power lines are made of wires, which contain an aluminum conductive area and an area of steel to ensure strength. The aluminum wires are wrapped helically over the area of cylindrical steel. The paper shows the calculation of magnetic field intensity in any point inside the helical coil. Calculations were performed considering homogeneous medium with permeability μ 0 and the conductor filamentary wires are located on the axis of the real wires.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
