“…It is shown that the efficiency of energy exchange between coupled waves and the state of their polarization have a periodic dependence on the reduced length of interaction. A technique to calculate the gain with a two-wave mixing in the optically active photorefractive BSO crystal in the diffusion mode taking into account the effect of self-diffraction of light waves is presented in [15]. The proposed technique is based on integrating the signal wave amplitude over the thickness of the crystal specimen and generates interest in it due to the possibility to take into account the effect of optical activity on coupling coefficients between the light waves mixing on the dynamic grating.…”
