Calculation of track component failure caused by the most dangerous defects on change of their design and operational conditions

Abstract: The article considers a calculation method of track component failure resulting from high-level bending stresses caused by the movement of the rolling stock. The method is based on the probabilistic nature of stress value in components, as well as statistic data on the fatigue properties of the metal from which they are made.
