“…According to Matsunaga and Watanabe (2010) though the relationship between boldness, exploration and habituation had been a topic of intense investigation in rodents, this line of research did not get an equal level of attention from ichthyologists. However, understanding linkage between boldness and habituation is vital since it could give insights into various cognitive phenotypes of the individual such as long term and short term memory (Leussis and Bolivar, 2006;White et al, 2017).
