“…The data on esophageal cancer in our study were not different from those of Peghini et al (8) who had noted 16 cases of esophageal cancer including 6 cases in patients aged 60 and over with a predominance in the age group of 60 and 70 and that it affected men much more. This is in agreement with literature data that states that esophageal cancer in Africa is common from the fifth decade (8)(9)(10) .
