Abstract: Sept références sont citées par Benauwt et Duchâteau. Constatons que le principe basique du dégagement de l'os recouvrant la dent était déjà acquis en 1539 ! Les auteurs suivant (Talbot, Angle, Dunn, Tucail, Monteil) mettent en place un dispositif de traction. Ce qu'il faut analyser sont les moyens de rétention de ce dispositif à l'émail : ils sont soit scellés, ou reposent sur le scellement d'une bague.
