Capability Maturity Model Integration for Beginners

Abstract: Abstract-the evaluation of the software industry has become a necessity to any company competing in the software market by producing high-quality and low-cost software products. In this article, we have present a simplified presentation of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) to organizations eager to understand the basic structure. In addition we present a review of other important models in evaluating software development processes such as SPICE (ISO/IEC15504), Bootstrap, ISO 9001:2000, and GQM.
