Abstract:The Pilates Method was created by the German Joseph Hubertus Pilates around the 1920s but had a recognition around the 1940s, in New York City, with a more frequent audience of dancers in the region. Thus, in the 1980s, he had a great recognition of his techniques, and in his later years, his method became known worldwide and actively disseminated.
