Abstract:Halogen, chalcogen, pnictogen, and tetrel bonds in organocatalysis have gained noticeable attention. In this work, carbon−bromide bond activation in the Ritter reaction by bidentate imidazole-type halogen, chalcogen, pnicogen, and tetrel bond donors was studied by density functional theory.
