Carbon Dioxide Adsorption Using Activated Carbon via Chemical Vapor Deposition Process

Abstract: Abstract. This research aims to study the physical-chemical characteristics and carbon dioxide adsorption using commercial activated carbon (GAC) by comparing with commercial activated carbon. Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of carbon molecular sieve prepared from activated carbon (CMSGAC) was prepared using acetylene at various conditions, such as temperature, time and acetylene flow rate. The results indicated that CMSGAC had high adsorption capacity and high selectivity for the adsorption ratio between carb… Show more

The size reduction by atomic layer deposition (ALD) has similar principle with the sculpting method, unless the pore closing step is done by uniform coating [21,110,111].…”

“…Rewadee et al conducted the preparation of CVD/GAC from coffee bean, which is an effective adsorbent for CO 2 removal, and using synthetic biogas (30% CO 2 , 20% N 2 and 50% CH 4 ). 6 Zeolite has played a major role in the development of adsorption technology. The framework of zeolite consists of an assemblage of aluminate and silicate tetrahedral, and shared oxygen atoms to form an open crystal lattice.…”
