Abstract:Self-aggregation of calf thymus histones H2A and H4 was studied by means of 13C magnetic resonance. Analyses of the changes in the intensities of several side-chain resonances, induced by added NaC1, confirm that carbon magnetic resonance can be used to monitor aggregation phenomena more accurately than other physicochemical methods. In particular the validity of an original computer-based method to treat 13C intensities is confirmed. The details of these aggregation phenomena are critically discussed in the li… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
