“…The deposition of coarse clastic deposits of the Ignateevo Formation in the Mikhailovsky Basin, and their abrupt replacement with carbonate rocks, indicate rapid transgression. The carbonate sediments of the Ignateevo Formation are apparently located in the marginal parts of the carbonate platform and have a reduced thickness of not more than 160 m (Savko et al, 2020). Apparently, water circulation is difficult here and the influx of fresh seawater is limited.…”
