“…Eucalyptus is the most widely planted type of hardwoods and can be produced at relatively low cost [2]. Although the most important Eucalyptus species in terms of world plantations are E. grandis, E. urophylla, E. camaldulensis, and E. globulus, growing attention is being paid to E. nitens, owing to their decreased susceptibility to Gonipterus plagues and to its ability to resist a wide range of environmental conditions, i.e., altitudes between 600 and 1600 m, with moderate temperatures in summer and cold temperatures, frost and snow in winter [3,4].
