Abstract:I RSCCV 44205-298 I Évora P R S, Pearson PJ, Oeltjen M, Discigil S, Schaff H V -Cardioplegia cristalóide, barotrauma e função endotelial: considerações experimentais. Show more
“…In the 1990s, working in the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA), we saw that, in vitro studies using organ chambers, infusion of crystalloid cardioplegic solution (at pressures higher than 600 mmHg) did not induce endothelial dysfunction due to impairment of NO release in normal canine coronary arteries [4].…”
Although vascular reactivity impairment was not demonstrated in vitro, the CD34 expression, measured by immunohistochemistry, shows there is endothelium dysfunction at pressures of 300 mmHg.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
