Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors Predict the Development and Numbers of Common Musculoskeletal Disorders in a Prospective Cohort

Abstract: These prospective data support that cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors are strongly associated with the subsequent development of common upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Risks rise with both magnitude of CVD risks and numbers of MSDs developed. Research into secondary prevention efforts appears warranted.
