Cardiovascular risk of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

Abstract: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) belong to the most widely used drugs. Results of recent large meta-analyses have shown that the cardiovascular risk of NSAIDs is more serious than originally believed and is not associated exclusively with coxibs; it is also increased when using so called traditional NSAIDs.
