Interests, abilities, and values may play central roles in the career decision-making of gifted adolescents, so an examination of the career decisions is very important. This research aims to examine the relationship between coping strategies of difficulties in decision-making, the decision-making difficulties, and psychological resilience of the gifted, and determine the differences between male and female in these variables. The total participants in this study were 80 students from secondary school who responded to the coping strategies of difficulties in career decision-making scale, and the decision making difficulties scale, and the psychological resilience scale for the gifted by the researcher. This study used the Pearson's correlation to determine the relationship between the variables, and T.test to determine the differences according to the gender. The results showed that there is statistically significant correlation between coping strategies of difficulties in career decision-making, and decision making difficulties (r=0.631), and psychological resilience (r=0.679). In addition, there are significant differences in coping strategies of career decision-making in the depending on others, withdrawal, and indecisiveness in favor of females, and in vigilance, impulsiveness, and procrastination in favor of males. There are significant differences in psychological resilience in favor of males in this study. Based on the finding of this study it can contribute to the improvement of the secondary school counselling programs about positive career decision-making strategies.In summary, the findings suggest that high level of psychological resilience can contribute to coping career decision-making difficulties, such as impulsiveness, and procrastination, especially with gifted adolescents.

Η έρευνα αποσκοπεί στην ταυτοποίηση των χαρακτηριστικών της πολυδυναμικότητας στην Ελλάδα, στην επίδραση των δημογραφικών στοιχείων στην μεταβλητή και στην εκτίμηση της σχέση της πολυδυναμικότητας και της αυτοαποτελεσματικότητας στα χαρισματικά παιδιά ηλικίας 15-18. Στην έρευνα συμμετείχαν 103 χαρισματικά παιδιά από τους συλλόγους Mensa και τον Σύλλογο γονέων και κηδεμόνων χαρισματικών και ταλαντούχων παιδιών. Από τα αποτελέσματα, προέκυψαν υψηλά επίπεδα γενικευμένης αυτοαποτελεσματικότητας. Ο Κοινωνικός τύπος επαγγελματικών ενδιαφερόντων βρέθηκε ως επικρατέστερος ακολουθούμενος από τον Πρακτικό και τον Καλλιτεχνικό τύπο. Από τους παράγοντες στατιστικά σημαντική σχέση με την πολυδυναμικότητα βρέθηκε να έχει ο τύπος σχολείου και η ηλικία.

This research is conducted to identify the profiles of career personality and interest towards sciences field among the gifted and talented students (GTS) in Malaysia. The career interest tendency in science is based on the consistency according to Holland Three Letter Code (HTLC). A total of 213 GTS aged 15 to 17 years old were randomly selected to respond to Self-Directed Search-Form Easy (SDS) instrument. Data was collected through questionnaire distribution. Data were then analyzed using SPSS Window 23.0 and Excel 2010 software. The result from the study shows that out of six career interest personality, GTS demonstrate an inclination towards three personality characteristics which are Investigative ( ̅ =22.15), Social ( ̅ =19.88) and Artistic ( ̅ =15.94). Based on the HTLC analysis, the study indicates a higher inclination towards sciences career interest (73.24%) as compared to non-sciences career interest (26.76%). " ̅ " for mean values and "%" for percentages. The findings also showed the existence of a mixed inclination on sciences and non-sciences or multi-potentiality among GTS. Its proven that GTS have a high sense of inquisitory which allows them to think scientifically and creative in finding solutions in their fields of interest. This study supports the past research findings that showed GTS have a high interest in sciences. The findings of this study have implications in the following areas; career counseling services, career guidance, and academic guidance to guide GTS on developing interest in science related fields of study.
