CART ve CHAID Algoritmalarının Karayaka Koyun Islahında Kullanımı

Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of some factors (sex, birth type, farm type, birth weight and weighting time) on weaning weight through CART and CHAID data mining algorithms. The classification and regression trees are modern analytic techniques that construct tree-based data-mining algorithms. Regression trees are used for the purpose of preliminary selection of the traits affecting the continuous dependent variable. The studied data were consisted of 366 records from Karayaka sheep breed. “…For instance, there is a literature comparison between the CART and NN models, whose results show that the NN model has a better effect on the cost prediction of colorectal cancer patients [26]. However, in the prediction and analysis of this literature and other literature [29,30], there is little comparative study of Kappa value from the actual value data source.…”

“…However, various data mining and machine learning algorithms do not need these assumptions [ 24 , 25 ]. In this context, many studies conducted within the scope of multivariate statistical methods have been carried out on different breeds and species, in which characteristics such as birth weight, live weight, weaning weight, and final weight are tried to be estimated [ 26 28 ]. The main purpose of trying to predict such different traits is that these traits vary among animal materials.…”

“…In general, animal breeding aims to genetically improve the next generation in order to increase the quantity and quality of economic traits in certain environments [1]. Traditional genetic improvement in farm animals has successfully predicted breeding values using phenotypes and pedigree information.…”
