Case-Based FCTF Reasoning System

Abstract: Case-based reasoning uses old information to infer the answer of new problems. In case-based reasoning, a reasoner firstly records the previous cases, then searches the previous case list that is similar to the current one and uses that to solve the new case. Case-based reasoning means adapting old solving solutions to new situations. This paper proposes a reasoning system based on the case-based reasoning method. To begin, we show the theoretical structure and algorithm of from coarse to fine (FCTF) reasoning… Show more

“…However, this was acceptable because case-based reasoning did not necessarily require the successful retrieval of the most similar case. No matter the first most similar or the second most similar past cases, they are both not exactly the same as the target case [57]. Apart from case retrieval, the rest of processes in case-based reasoning like revision can adapt the solution of the retrieved past case to the new situation.…”

“…It could be affected by the water table of the soil. As stated that oil palm plantation had the shallowest water table (38 cm) among the land use types, and the deepest was under mix garden (66.33 cm) [16]. The water table will affect the moisture content of the soil.…”

“…Air temperature under oil palm plantations was found the highest, it was 13.5% higher than that under open land (the lowest). Based on Lu et al [16] the temperature in the location was classified as higher (30-45 o C). Relative air humidity was not different among the land use being measured during CO2 accounting.…”

“…However, this is acceptable because case-based reasoning does not necessarily require the successful retrieval of the most similar cases. All retrieved top three similar past cases are not exactly the same as the target one [53]. It is worth noting that apart from case retrieval, case-based reasoning also adopts the processes of solution reuse and revision.…”
