Abstract: BACKGROUND Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common cause of chronic liver disease worldwide. Studies have shown a strong association between non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) cirrhosis and portal vein thrombosis.
