In this National Report are given major results of researches conducted by Russian geodesists in 2015-2018 on the topics of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). This report is prepared by the Section of Geodesy of the National Geophysical Committee of Russia. In the report prepared for the XXVII General Assembly of IUGG (Canada, Montreal, 8-18 July 2019), the results of principal researches in geodesy, geodynamics, gravimetry, in the studies of geodetic reference frame creation and development, Earth's shape and gravity field, Earth's rotation, geodetic theory, its application and some other directions are briefly described. For some objective reasons not all results obtained by Russian scientists on the problems of geodesy are included in the report.

This study concerns the design of a geocultural site in Huta Różaniecka. It is one of 166 sites prepared for the Kamienny Las na Roztoczu (Roztocze Stone Forest) Geopark project. The site is distinguished, on the one hand, by its interesting geology and geomorphology (exposures of Miocene sea shore with numerous fossils) and, on the other hand, by its quarries, stonemasonry traditions, and buildings (ruins of the Greek Catholic church). The aim of this paper is to present a model for building specialized documentation using a wide range of source materials, methods (field inventory, queries, interviews, high-precision Light Detection and Ranging-LiDAR measurements), tools (Leica ScanStation C10 laser scanner), and techniques (photography, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-UAV, Terrestrial Laser Scanning-TLS). The applied research procedure model led to the construction of specialized documentation relating to the spatial dimension, natural features, and cultural context of the site. Taking into account the collected data, it should be concluded that the projected geocultural site at Huta Różaniecka, irrespective of the creation of a geopark, has great potential to build a tourist product that is attractive to a wide range of visitors.

The integration of 3D laser scanning and digital photogrammetry in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry has facilitated high-quality architectural surveys. However, the processes remains constrained by significant costs, extensive manual labor, and accuracy issues associated with manual data processing. This article addresses these operational challenges by introducing automated Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques that minimize manual input through the use of Dynamo for Autodesk Revit. We developed algorithms that efficiently convert point cloud data into accurate BIM models, enhancing productivity and reducing the potential for errors. The application of these algorithms is analyzed in a case study of the Old Lifeguard Station of Fuseta, showcasing notable reductions in modeling time and improvements in accuracy. The findings suggest that automated scan-to-BIM methods could provide a viable solution for enhancing BIM workflows across the industry, with the potential for wider adoption given their impact on efficiency and model quality.
