CASE REPORT: ANGIOSTRONGYLIASIS IN A PALLAS’S SQUIRREL (CALLOSCIURUS ERYTHRAEUS)

Abstract: This is a rare case of a wild squirrel that was diagnosed with angiostrongyliasis characterized by the presence of larvae-induced eosinophilic meningoencephalomyelitis. A wild, intact, male Pallas’s squirrel (Callosciurus erythraeus) of unknown age was presented with a history of progressive paralysis in both forelimbs and hindlimbs.
