Abstract: Background: Treatment of cerebral venous thrombosis has traditionally been based on anticoagulant therapy. However, in certain circumstances, such as deep cerebral venous thrombosis, anticoagulation may be insufficient, so endovascular treatment by mechanical thrombectomy has been used for some years.
