Abstract: Background Glycolic acid (GA) is an α-hydroxy peeling agent that causes controlled removal of the epidermis, with or without the dermis. Studies have shown the ability of GA to stimulate fibroblast proliferation, induce collagen synthesis, and decrease collagen degradation.
