Case study of gempor

Abstract

This article discusses the application of the values of the Qur'an that are practiced by the community in the Gempor tradition. This research includes a type of field research with the theory of living Qur'an, namely the community's reception of the Qur'an which emphasizes the receptions made by the community to the Qur'an. The purpose of this study is to find out the practice of implementing the Gempor tradition carried out by the community in kauman village RT04 Rw.02 kec. Batang Regency whether the continuous treadition is carried out in accordance with Islamic values. In this study, the author used a qualitative method with a phenoenological approach and supported by supporting data such as interviews with local community leaders to explore in more detail the running of traditions carried out in the area. The result of this study is that the gempor tradition in rt.04 rw.02 has contained quranic values in it, traditions that are in the context of almsgiving and a learning method for children to be motivated to do good things
