Case Study of Roadway Deformation Failure Mechanisms: Field Investigation and Numerical Simulation

Abstract: The safety of underground roadways is a major issue in mining engineering, with economic impacts and potential threats to the lives of workers. Elucidating the deformation failure mechanisms is necessary to solve these problems. The deformation failure modes and characteristics of roadways buried at various depths were investigated using a detailed field survey in the Jinchuan nickel mine. At greater depths, roadway deformation was more serious, the creep phenomena were more prominent, and support structures w… Show more

“…Based on the Buckingham π theorem, the ratio of the same quantities in the prototype and model was defined as the similarity constant C. Through comprehensive consideration of the laboratory equipment and boundary conditions, the dimension of the physical model was set as 30 × 30 × 5 cm. Thus, the geometry similarity constant C l was 40, and the other basic physical quantities were characterized in accordance with this ratio ( Table 2 ) [ 43 ].…”

“…The wound repair process involves multiple cell types, of which FBs play essential roles since they, alongside with ECs, orchestrate the synthesis of the replacement extracellular matrix (ECM) [ 47 , 105 , 115 , 116 , 117 ]. FBs are the main actors in both the proliferative and remodeling phases of wound healing ( Figure 2 ) [ 27 , 117 ].…”

“…A great amount of data concerning the prognostic significance of serum levels of different chemokines, cytokines, and other serum proteins has been generated mostly by analyzing samples from hospitalized patients [ 66 , 67 , 68 , 69 , 70 , 71 , 72 , 73 , 74 , 75 , 76 , 77 , 78 , 79 , 80 , 81 , 82 , 83 , 84 ] who, in most of the cases, received experimental drugs immediately on admission [ 7 , 47 , 55 ].…”
