“…Geological and geomorphological field work activities have strengthened the awareness of the power of field observations, surveys, and mapping for the understanding of natural processes at different spatial and temporal scales: from the long-term landscape evolution to the short-term development of a landslide or coastal retreat inducing geomorphological hazards.
