Preface This report was originally published in May 1993 as a thesis for the degree of Master of Science with a major in hydrology through the University of Idaho. Research for the report was conducted between June 1989 and May 1990. The report contains valuable Wrmation on the hydrogeology along the southern boundary of the Hanfbrd Site; therefbre, the GroundWater Surveillance Project agreed to publish it as a Pacific Northwest Laboratory technical report. Because the report was published in 1993, references are made to activities, organizations, and/or previous investigations that were pertinent at the time, but may no longer be applicable, or have since been updated. Hence, the report remains essentially as it was originally written.

This report catalogs geophysical borehole logs acquired between 1962, when logging began, and May 15, 1992 in the 100 Areas and the surrounding 600 Area of the Hanford Site. Separate tables were prepared for each respective set of wells. Each table lists all wells known to have been drilled, all borehole geophysical logs measured, and the location of these logs. No information is provided for logs acquired by the Westinghouse Hanford Company spectral gamma logging system. Maps are provided for identification of the specific wells in the 100 Areas. A cross reference between the well numbering scheme employed by the Basalt Waste Isolation Project and that based on the Hanford grid name is provided for the appropriate wells in the 600 Area.
