Abstract: The catalytic decomposition of CH4 to H2 and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was investigated regarding Pt(1)-Fe(30)/MCM-41 and Fe(30)/MCM-41 using a fixed-bed flow reactor under an atmosphere. X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and Raman spectroscopy were used to characterize the behavior of Pt(1)-Fe(30)/MCM-41 and Fe(30)/MCM-41.
