Abstract:In this work, experimental and theoretical methods were used to investigate the catalytic effect of K 2 O on NO oxidation. Experimental results indicated that K 2 O was the main active component. It enhanced the removal of NO and decreased the reaction temperature. Theoretical results indicated that the K 2 O (001)-O surface was more suitable for the adsorption of NO and O 2 . Also, NO and O 2 on the Ca(OH) 2 surface may migrate to the K 2 O surface for reaction.NO 2 was formed via the interaction of (NO) 2 an… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
