Catalytic Transfer Reductive Cleavage of azo Compounds to Amines Using Chitosan-supported Formate and Zinc

Abstract: A convenient method for the cleavage of azo derivatives to the corresponding amines using chitosan-supported formate as hydrogen donors in conjunction with zinc is described.
