“…It can be seen that USY zeolite can provide more acid sites and the catalytic cracking reaction can proceed more easily. Han et al [18,19] did a study about catalytic coal pyrolysis tar using char-based catalysts loaded with different metals, and found that their catalytic activity for upgrading tar is correlated to the number of acid sites on the catalyst. Therefore, compared to Al/SBA-15 zeolite, USY zeolite has higher number of acid sites, and resulting in a better performance on the catalytic upgrading of gaseous tars.…”
